Camera Obscura / Sutro Baths

the next day we explored around our hotel a little and went to Ghirardelli. we at lunch in the Mission again at Pizzeria Delfina. they only had one table left on the sidewalk that we had to squeeze into. they had the chairs side by and when I tried to move my chair to the other side of the table near the sidewalk walkway, they said I had to move it back. it was a little funny how cramped we were. we have so much space in restaurants AZ that I forget how precious every foot is in larger cities. the pizza was very tasty and authentic Italian and it made up for being a little uncomfortable.

we went to Haight Ashbury for some vintage shopping.
we found more great wall art.
we left and drove to the Camera Obscura which is a giant outdoor camera that uses sunlight to project what it views through the lens onto a viewing table. it was closed when we got there but the camera itself is really cool looking. the whole area around it was stunning.
we walked over to the ruins of the Sutro Baths. the Sutro Baths were a large swimming pool complex built in the late 1800's that burned down in the 60's.
we drove to an area where there was a view of the Golden Gate bridge. we had never seen it from that side before.
that ended our time in San Francisco! I was sad to leave because it is such a beautiful city and we had an amazing time there. that night we stayed in Monterey Bay.

Clarion Alley

we went seeking out a wall art area called Clarion Alley I found online and found ourselves in a shadier part of town. the alley we wanted to go down had some homeless people and druggies but luckily we waited a few minutes and they left. its worth it for some good wall art :)
a lot of the art was weird or too political but it was still really cool.
this one was down a different street we found and it was my favorite. it reminded me of Dr. Seuss.

we decided to walk home to our hotel so we could see more of the city. we found this cool mural of the city during our walk.

and this cool art on lower Haight.
and for dessert we got ice cream (again!) at Smitten where they make the ice cream in front of you. very delicious.
it took us a few hours and we got back to our hotel around 11pm. I was so glad we walked we saw so much and the city is so pretty at night. we were exhausted but had a great day.
