Oregon Coast birthday!

on Wednesday June 28th was my 30th birthday! we decided to spend the day driving along the Oregon coast. Oregon was only a little over an hour away - that's how north in Cali we were. this Oregon beach was beautiful and we had fun exploring for a bit looking for sea creatures in the little tide pools.
we hit up a lot of beaches along the coast. all of them amazing.
this spot we found was down a little road off the main coast drive. it was so incredibly breathtaking. it was deserted and secluded which made it seem like our secret little area. this was the furthest we went along the coast before we turned around to head back to our camp.
these beautiful purple flowers called foxgloves were all over the side of the road.
we stopped to get out at many spots along the coast but this one near the end was by far our favorite. there were beautiful wild flowers all over and a little path that lead to those massive rocks in the ocean.
 the wind was crazy!
we climbed up over some rocks and discovered this amazing sea cave! you could see out through the smaller opening on the other side into the ocean. we were not expecting to find it and it was probably our favorite thing we saw all day. I was a little nervous to climb down into it as the rocks were a little sharp and steep but I'm so glad I did. we both did it in sandals but luckily came away unharmed.
we walked past these amazing wildflowers on the way back to our car. this place was so wonderful and didn't seem real!!
we continued driving back to our campsite and stopped a couple more times.
I can't talk enough about how incredible the Oregon coast is. I am so glad that we spent my birthday exploring it and taking in the beautiful views!
29th birthday!
