Glacier National Park - Day 2

in the morning we drove to the south side of the park and started our drive on the Going to the Sun Road. part of the road was closed due to the fire so we knew we were going to have to back track once we got to that point. 

 we stopped whenever we saw a pull out area or a sign and there were a few waterfalls right off the side of the road.

 

 the entire park had breathtaking views and we stopped as often as we could to get a better look.

 we reached the point where the road was closed off and had to turn around. we stopped at this beautiful little lake on the way out. the water was so clear and the rocks were a pretty purple shade.

I feel we barely brushed the surface on what the park has to offer. the park is huge and there are so many hikes where you can get closer to the glaciers and see wildlife. it seems that many people have never even heard of Glacier National Park but I think it is one of the most beautiful places in the country. we definitely plan to go back someday to spend more time there.
