Mount Rainier

we camped that night in Mt. Rainier national park which was a couple hours away from Seattle. we found ourselves once again rushing to see if we could get a camp spot. we had had good luck camping so far but it 11 pm, much later than any other time we camped.
we had to drive around for a little bit but we ended up finding a camping spot in the Ohanapecosh campground. we had gotten really good at setting up our tent at that point and we able to do it fairly quickly in the dark.

in the morning we were able to finally see where we were at and how beautiful it was. there is something wonderful about going to sleep somewhere when it's dark and then finally seeing where you are at in the morning.
we went on a short hike near our campground to Silver Falls.
the waterfall was beautiful and there were surprisingly very few people there. it was such a remarkable place and my pictures don't do it justice.

 rainbow under the waterfall :)
to get to the waterfall from where you first see it you walk across a bridge and there is a short path through the woods. you then can climb down the rocks to get closer to the falls. we saw a guy balance across a tree branch high above the water to get to where we were. I was so nervous for him the entire time but he made it over safely. he laughed when we told him there was an easier way over and he said he wondered how we got there. he was wearing a BYU shirt and we talked with him for a little bit and he took this pic for us.
you could continue hiking past the top of the falls for smaller falls.
I think that by this point on the trip I still wanted pictures but was tired of looking at the camera :)
I am so glad we decided to camp on Mt. Rainier and that we discovered this beautiful place.
