Cleveland Rocks

o h i o

I was sad to leave NY but we left after seeing Niagara Falls and drove to Cleveland, Ohio. we got a great deal at a Hyatt Regency in a historic building. it was beautiful inside with interesting architecture.
we then went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum which was the only reason we went to Cleveland. Jason and I are big classic rock fans and we were both excited to go to this museum.

this was the awning for the iconic club from the 80's til it closed in '06. the original one before this one was stolen.display for Pink Floyd's the Wall

we were excited to see the Woodstock display. we had originally planned on going to Woodstock in NY and going to the museum but we found out too late that we had to make reservations.

Janis Joplin's incredible car. it was painted a solid color at some point after she owned it but they painted it back as close as they could to her paint job.

I enjoyed seeing all the handwritten lyrics.

the Joy Division/New Order display was small but I was excited to see it.

they had Johnny Cash's tour bus outside that we got to go inside. it was his tour bus I think from the 80's and later. I would have liked to see his earlier bus but it was still cool. afterwards we walked around the city a little bit. they were having some sort of reggae festival in the park that we walked through.

we went to a vintage store that had a ton of clothing to go through. we were there near closing and we had to leave before I could try anything on so I left empty-handed. we really enjoyed the museum though and we're glad we made a stop in Cleveland for it.
