Niagara Falls

the next day we went to Webster Park right by Lake Ontario. it was a pretty area that was semi hidden with only a few people there.

our next stop was Niagara Falls a couple hours away. this is the American falls.

Horseshoe falls. it was so misty it was hard to see anything. I heard that the Canadian side is better but we didn't have our passports.

we bought tickets for Cave of the Winds which allows you to go up closer to the Bridal Veil falls. you go down an elevator through the rock and then walk on wooden platforms right next the waterfall. they give you a poncho but you still get pretty wet. it was invigorating being that close to the falls and we were really glad we did it.

there were a bunch of seagulls with nests and little spotted babies next to the walkway. they were so cute!

this is American falls and you can see Horseshoe falls in the distance.

Niagara Falls was beautiful. I would like to go back someday with my passport so I can see it from the Canadian side. I loved all of the New England area upstate NY it is so green and beautiful. New England was definitely one of my favorite areas we visited.
