Horse Capital of the World

 k e n t u c k y

we left Cleveland and drove about 5 hours to Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington is the Horse Capital of the World so I definitely wanted to pass through there. it was beautiful with rolling green hills, trees lining the roads and of course lots of horses.

we met this really friendly horse with Awesome Adele written on her halter.

we found a map at the hotel for a tour called the Bluegrass driving tour. it was a very scenic drive though all the horse farms. it was beautiful and I wanted to take pictures of everything as we were driving. the pictures aren't as great from the car but there weren't a lot of places to pull over to get out.

we then went to the city and walked around. they had pictures of horses on everything- I loved it!

Mary Todd Lincoln house. it was closed since it was Sunday.

we went to Thoroughbred park that had all these horse statues.

we loved our short time in Lexington!
